Unexplored wilderness,
A place of change, of rivers flowing,
A place where desserts hide their secrets,
And mirages shimmer in the distance like they do so often in a dessert.
A place of trees old as time,
A place of exqusite beauty,
So stark and raw,
It takes one's breath.
Unexplored wilderness,
Where the sun disappears over the horizon,
And starlight shines as soft as satin,
Where streams tumble over clear stones,
And dawns break
Their colors announcing the coming day,
Unexplored wilderness,
Where only I have been,
And others have not.
I like this.
Reminds me of the beginning of a Zane Gray novel.
Thanks.
